Finally, we’ve come to the end of 2017 and many of you are probably thinking back over this year at the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Some may be excited and looking forward to 2018 while yet others just aren’t quite ready.
I have been giving a lot of thought lately to the last 12 months and when I look back I realize that I spent a lot of time on the road, in the air and working very hard. This is something I plan to change.
Last night I watched a movie. It was the type of film that I wouldn’t normally watch, but I found some great insight and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Now, you’re probably thinking this is some profound movie… and I assure you, it is! Its called Dreamer starring Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning.
The movie is about a young girl, Kale and a horse named Sonador, (Spanish for Dreamer). Sonador fell during a race early on in the movie and had a spiral break on her front leg. The vet said she would never race again, but could possibly regain her ability to walk.
Kale’s father gave her 51 percent ownership in Sonador shortly after her recovery. She decided Sonador would run the biggest race in horse racing; the Breeders Cup.
Kale had a definiteness of purpose that was mixed with a child-like faith. Sonador was favored to come in dead last and be an embarrassment to her owners, but in the end, SHE WON!
Sunday is a day of new beginnings.
What will you accomplish in 2018?
What do you have a definiteness of purpose to achieve?
I will be leading a Mastermind group on the book Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill.
